KeySCAPE software gives landscape architects more time for thoughtful design by automating menial tasks, improving accuracy and easing revisions when collaborating with architects and civil engineers. KeySCAPE provides commands and workflows specific to the needs of landscape architects and designers.
KeySCAPE offers a single solution that takes you from concept, through detailed design, contract documentation and beyond.
Do you have a need for versatile, up-to-date, customizable landscape design software?
Are you required to collaborate with diverse project teams?
Do you want to streamline your workflow?
Do you want to adopt BIM best practice?
If so, KeySCAPE is the landscape architecture software for you.
...we were able to efficiently step in with KeySCAPE and create the smart, BIM-compliant objects that would streamline this redesign and any future revisions
The production of an average planting plan has been reduced to a third of the time it used to take (e.g 12 days down to 4).
How KeySCAPE helped create environments that demand aesthetic integration with surrounding structures.
How KeySCAPE helped KZLA create context-inspired landscape design solutions.
How KeySCAPE enables SLR consulting to model designs productively using the export to Revit feature.
An ultimate tool in landscape design, KeySCAPE allows for you to generate topographic images. These are formed from the original ground survey points and how they are elevated, allowing you to plan view features lines for a proposed design. Add accurate features to your landscape, calculate volumes and balance the cut and fill to optimize your site design.
Fully Analyze the site you wish to use. Assess the slopes, how water would flow over the site, determine potential for ponds to form, and consider flood planes. Assess the visibility of objects within the landscape from various perspectives.
Base planning gives you a range of tools to use. These help you lay out your site, annotate features, and present your creation in various ways such as a plan view, or in 3D.
KeySCAPE provides an array of tools to set up and design elements for a site plan. Whether you need to design sidewalks, retaining walls, or building footprints we have tools to help you. It also includes recreational elements such as sport fields, camping, and swimming pools.
Golf Course Design
Quickly and easily design golf courses with our Wizard to help you define the course number, hole number and par. The KeySCAPE Course Table allows you to generate a summary of the hole number, all the distances you have specified, and par values from each tee.
Landscape and Detailed Planting Design
KeySCAPE contains everything you could want in order to create impressive planting plans. This includes plant symbols and mixes, plant tables, growth simulation and vegetation lines. As well as this we have a database of over 8000 plants for you to use.
Plant Database Import and Construction Details
KeySCAPE comes with a powerful plant database with editing and customization capabilities. The database contains a wealth of information on all the plants in the system; including descriptions, characteristics, climate, color, conditions, growth, maintenance, planting sizes, zones, textures, and uses (amongst others). It is also possible to create or import plant lists. Additional information allows for a set of over 700 pre-drawn drawings, with manufacturer specific details, ready to insert into your AutoCAD drawing for heightened accuracy.
If you need to create an advanced irrigation system then KeySCAPE has a feature especially for you. With our software you can design irrigation features for public spaces, urban areas, golf courses and more. Our advanced irrigation feature has sprinkler and drip feed irrigation systems, supported by a database of manufacturers and their precise specifications. These sprinklers can be grouped and controlled by the same valve, with the program warning you if there is an insufficient amount of water available.
London Olympic Park
KeySCAPE and AutoCAD was used by LDA Design to develop some of the London Olympic Park proposals. KeySCAPE was used to develop ideas for the planting areas onsite.
Whether you prefer to work in meters, millimeters, yards or inches – KeySCAPE allows you to work in both metric and imperial units. At any point throughout the design process you can rescale the drawing to any measurements you like.
Conceptual and Sketch Design
Use detailed and sketch graphics with gradient fills and transparencies to create stunning drawings that will impress and sell your proposals to your client. Include your own images to create mood boards that will help explain your design.
Built on the need to design paving areas within AutoCAD, Paving Design allows you to create and specify paved areas effortlessly. Use predefined patterns or create your own edging and paving using actual brick sizes and laying patterns, such as Herringbone, Basketweave, radial and random. Calculate brick numbers, specify and label your paving areas. Insert schedule at any time and export this to include within your Bill of Quantities.
Create stunning photorealistic images using a wide array of KeySCAPE 3D symbols. Quickly generate rendered views and walkthroughs of your site with just a few clicks. Whether your design is simple or complex, our 3D design software can truly bring it to life.
Export to Revit
Export your features to Revit and use the free Revit Add-In to import the KeySCAPE data into your Revit project. The Add-In can populate your Revit model with the specifications and qualities generated in You can also add 2D information to the plan view, as well as place 3D models from your designs on the Revit topology. The ability to export to Revit also allows you to include rootballs for clash detection with underground services. Finally, you also have the ability to perform a shadow analysis to show the impact of your planting on the project.
